The Finishing Touches

The Finishing TouchesJust over a year ago, a quiet, pretty young woman began attending fashion events around Boston and Providence. You were struck immediately by how sweet she was, seemingly shy (she had recently moved from Poland and was still working to finesse her English) and the striking pieces of jewelry she always wore.

It did not take long to discover, the statement pieces which always seemed to “make” her outfits were of her own design and craftsmanship. Good looks, personality AND talent! But please don’t be jealous… Magdalena Stokalska works hard at her craft while raising two small boys, ages 4 and 2.

Magdalena was a marketing and management major in her native Poland while supplementing her studies with numerous drawing, painting and sculpting classes. Turning her background in art and love for fashion into a successful jewelry business, she created a collection with edge and elegance. Using refined materials such as amethyst, jade, quartz, cultured freshwater pearls and rhinestones for sparkle, Magda’s collection is made up of wearable art.

Her pieces have caught the eye of stylists, photographers and designers alike. As a result, we have seen her work on the runways of Boston Fashion Week, and StyleWeek Providence, as well as being featured in numerous editorial fashion magazine spreads.

Magdalena continues to create collections, inspired by her emotions. Her current collection reflects what she describes as her more upbeat mood from meeting and being around interesting and creative people. How lucky for us! If you are at a fashion event and see a pretty woman wearing an amazing necklace (or earrings, or bracelet) go up to her and introduce yourself. You will be meeting a wonderful new friend and perhaps inspiring her next piece in the process.
