Dresses from Ann Taylor
Why are you hiding them?
Let’s talk about the versatility of dresses in your wardrobe. So many times while consulting with clients, analyzing their wardrobes and editing their closets; the dresses take a back seat! I hear, “I feel too dressed up, I don’t know what shoes to wear, don’t know if I should wear hose, they are too long to hang in my closet so I hang them in the broom closet and on and on”.
Let’s address some of these silly excuses!
1. Bumping up your look from a pant/sweater combo is required! There are so many great day dresses to choose from, at all price points.
2. Can we talk comfortable well-priced kitten heels, pumps and even sassy flats that are available at every retailer!
3. Hose or no hose. Obviously open toe or open heel = no hose. Simply shave (duh), moisturize with a light self tanner or brush a little bronzer down there! If your shoe is closed, then you certainly have the option to wear hose – this is a huge business, look around at the options that are offered – nude, opaque, colored, patterned, etc. Stop thinking your hose have to come from CVS, sold in a plastic egg!
4. Hanging your dresses in your broom closet – seriously? Even if your only option is to fold them over a padded hanger and hit them with the iron the night before, this at least gives them the rotation they deserve!
Let’s honor the first day of spring (and your gams) and think, plan and act out of the box!
Remember – you are pretty!
